Healthcare has always favored those who have access to medical services and can afford to make time to visit a service provider. Sexual health is no exception. With the stigma surrounding STD’s and STI’s, sexual health becomes pushed even further into the periphery. This is heavily problematic, and even life-threatening, for those who cannot gain access to or are discouraged from getting regularly tested.

That's Where We Come In...

Acunon is developing medical diagnostic devices that can test for STD's in vitro and return results immediately. We aim to disrupt the current healthcare model, making it convenient and accessible to get tested. From the privacy of one’s own home, one can get crucial information about their own health. This benefits not only low-income consumers, but also groups like women, the LGBTQ+ community, and the elderly, who have historically been discriminated against when it comes to sexual wellness and seeking treatment. When it comes to health, we believe that patients have a right to access information about their own bodies.
